Ep 3 – Lying to Tell the Truth

In this week’s episode of The Fric Show, I invited spoken word artist and self professed story teller Johnny Macrae to talk about slam poetry and his approach to art and life. Johnny was kind enough to perform a couple of his poems and even jammed with me on one of my nearly forgotten songs called “In a minute”.

Since I don’t believe in censorship on my podcast I must warn you that there are a few more expletives on this episode than we’ve had previously on the Fric Show. Don’t be afraid.

Enjoy

Graphic Novel Release Party w/ Dick Brady

Ok Ok ok…
It looks like I won’t be posting a podcast, or episode of The Fric Show this week. My apologies. I had to get to a good friend’s wedding in Boise, Idaho, have a stellar vacation, and that didn’t leave much time to record a podcast for this Wednesday. BUT, I promise to be back at it for next week. (On the other hand, maybe you haven’t even listened to the first couple episodes of the Fric Show, in which case start at Episode 1: Bryan and the Banana Hammock.

Also, I have some pretty cool shows coming up. To see the whole list check out my “Music” page on the right hand side. This Saturday night I’ll be playing music at a Release Party for the graphic novel M.O.R. at the Beaumont Studios. Joining me will be my talented friend Dick Brady from Edmonton. Dick lays down some soulful hooky tunes that will keep you humming through the week. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself.

Ep 2 John Cullen Never Drank His Own… Well You Know

I invited Vancouver Comic John Cullen onto the show to talk about white chocolate vs dark chocolate, starting out as a stand up comic, and jelly belly’s that don’t taste like chocolate pudding or root beer.
On the side I have disagreements with my sound tech Modem over what good podcasting is.

Bryan and the Banana Hammock: Podcast Episode 1

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Day one of my new podcast series “Dominique and the Fricot’s” has finally arrived. The format for the podcast will grow and develop with each coming episode, but as a starting point, I figured I could play some songs, (covers and originals) tell some stories, and invite some guests on to entertain and amuse.

Check out episode 1: Bryan and the Banana Hammock:

Learning to Fly

A few months ago I was given the opportunity to record one of my signature cover songs at Nimbus Studios here in Vancouver. I asked my friends and fans via twitter and facebook to help me decide which song I should do. “Learning to Fly” by Tom Petty was the unanimous winner. I present to you the video now. Enjoy.
