Where I Come From

Last week Daniel Chen posted this beautiful video of Vancouver caught in time-lapse photography. I am lucky enough to have my new track “Our Last Song” as the soundtrack to this stunning video.

When the video came out I was reminded of how gorgeous the city I’ve called home for the last 10 years is. This last weekend I returned to the Shuswap and visited some of my old haunts including my home town, Salmon Arm and was overcome with how beautiful it is in the summer and how lucky I’ve been to have lived in such glorious environments. Excuse my sappiness, but I had to proclaim it.

I also find myself wondering if that’s just how it is for most people and their home town. Is the feeling that there is no place like home a universal sensation? Or have I really had the luxury of living in the most beautiful place in the world my whole life?
